Holy Ganga Yamuna Yatra Pilgrim Special Trains By IRCTC

Gaya, Varanasi, Allahabad, Haridwar, Delhi, Mathura and Agra Pilgrim Tour Package


Holy Ganga Yamuna Yatra Pilgrim Special Tourist Train, conceptualized by IRCTC, started on 10th October, 2015, from Secunderabad Railway Station, the South Central Zone of Indian Railways.

The Pilgrim Special Tourist Train consists of seven sleeper coaches, two AC-III tier coaches and one AC-II tier coach with Pantry Car. The tour period is of 10 days which includes visit to important pilgrim places like Gaya, Varanasi, Allahabad, Haridwar, Delhi, Mathura and Agra.

The Package includes Confirmed train accommodation in the booked class; Meals on board (Train) and Off board (at sightseeing places); Standard Class Dharmasala/ Dormitory accommodation for Sleeper class and Hotel/ Lodges for Comfort and Deluxe AC class; Road Transportation; Sightseeing and visit of places of interest; Tour escort and Insurance.

It is o­ne amongst the three Pilgrim Special Tourist Trains (PSTT) that are run from Secunderabad Railway Station, the other two being “Temple Tour Of North India With Vaishnodevi” and “Temple Tour of South India” Special Tourist Trains.

The tour itinerary is as follows:

The tour starts on DAY ONE with the boarding of Special Tourist Train at Secunderabad Railway Station at 10:45 a.m. The train can also be boarded at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry and Samalkot stations on DAY ONE and at Duvvada station on DAY TWO. After traveling two days and two nights, the tour reaches to Gaya in the morning of the THIRD DAY.

After arrival at Gaya Station in the morning on DAY THREE, the tourists can perform Pinda Pranadam in the day time and then depart for Varanasi in the night.

After arrival at Varanasi Railway Station in the early morning on DAY FOUR, IRCTC will transfer the tourists to a hotel. After check in, tourists can visit important temples such as Kasi Viswanath Temple, Kasi Visalakshmi Temple, Annapoorani Temple and other places on their own by walk or cycle rickshaws. Overnight stay and dinner in hotel at Varanasi.

In the morning of DAY FIVE, proceed to Prayag (Allahabad) by train. After arriving at Allahabad before the noon, take a holy bath in Triveni Sangam. In the evening, depart for Haridwar.

After arrival at Haridwar in the morning of day DAY SIX, take a holy dip in Ganga. Visit Manasadevi Mandir by walk. In the night, depart for New Delhi.

After arrival in Delhi on the morning of DAY SEVEN, take Delhi city tour and visit Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Indira Memorial, India Gate, Raj Ghat and other important places. Overnight stay and dinner in hotel at New Delhi.

On DAY EIGHT, depart for Mathura in the early morning. After arrival in Mathura, IRCTC will arrange the darshan of Krishna Janma Bhoomi. Proceed to Agra for visit of Taj Mahal.

In the night, depart for return journey and travel throughout the DAY NINE.

On DAY TEN, the tourists can detrain at various stations such as Duvvada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Elluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Secunderabad.

Cancellation Policy: For cancellation of your ticket, please log in to your account at www.irctctourism.com, select the Tour Confirmation Number of the ticket you wish to cancel and cancel your ticket from your booked history on line.

If ticket is cancelled up to 15 days earlier (excluding departure date) from the tour start date, the cancellation charge will be Rs. 100/- per passenger.

If ticket is cancelled up to 8-14 days earlier (excluding departure date) from the tour start date, the cancellation charge will be 25% of the tour package cost.

If ticket is cancelled up to 4-7 days earlier (excluding departure date) from the tour start date, the cancellation charge will be 50% of the tour package cost.

If ticket is cancelled less than 4 days earlier (excluding departure date) from the tour start date, the cancellation charge will be 100% of the tour package cost.

Please note that in case of cancellation of package by IRCTC, there will be refund of 100%.
