Special Trains For Nasik Kumbh Mela

There is a huge rush of passengers for Kumbh Mela. To clear this rush, IRCTC and Central Railway have announced the running of special trains for Kumbh Mela to be held at Nasik from 14th July to 25th September, 2015.

Legend has it that Gods and Demons were fighting for nectar (Amrit). Lord Vishnu took the nectar pot and flew from Earth to heavens, spilling its few drops at Haridwar, Nasik, Ujjain and Prayag. These are the places where Kumbh Melas are celebrated.

Kumbh Mela at Trimbakeshwar in Nashik, Maharashtra is celebrated once in every twelve years and is known as Sinhasta. Last time it was celebrated in 2003. Trimbakeshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas where Triyambakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple is situated. Millions of pilgrims come here and take dips in holy River Godavari on the specific date and at specific time to wash away their sins. These dips are taken at the two bathing ghats, Ramkund and Kushavarta.

Central Railway has announced to run 12 Jansadharan special trains between between Nasik Road and Nanded  as per details given below:

07926/ 07927 Nanded - Nasik Road - Nanded Special

Train No. and Schedule: 07926 special train will leave Nanded at 10.00 p.m. on 18th, 25th, 28th August 2015, 12th, 17th and 24th September 2015 (6 trips) and will arrive Nasik Road at 10.50 a.m. next day.

Train No. and Schedule: 07927 special train will leave Nasik Road at 10.55 p.m.s on 19th, 26th, 29th August 2015, 13th, 18th and 25th September 2015 (6 trips) and will arrive Nanded at 10.05 a.m. next day.

HALTS: These trains will stop at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nagarsol, Rotegaon, Lasur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Partur, Selu, Manwat Road, Parbhani and Purna stations.

COMPOSITION: All the above special trains will have 12 General second class compartments.

04731/ 04732 Bikaner - Nasik Road - Bikaner Special

Train No. and Schedule: 04731 special train will leave Bikaner at 8.40 p.m. on 27.8.2015 & 11.9.2015 and will arrive Nasik Road at 02.40 a.m. on third day.

Train No. and Schedule: 04732 special train will leave Nasik Road at 10.30 p.m. on 29.8.2015 & 13.9.2015 and will arrive Bikaner at 05.50 a.m. on third day.

HALTS: These trains will stop at Nokha, Nagaur, Merta Road Jn., Jodhpur Jn., Luni Jn., Pali Marwar, Marwar Jn., Falna, Abu Road, Palanpur Jn., Mahesana Jn., Ahmedabad Jn., Nadiad Jn., Anand Jn., Vadodara Jn., Bharuch Jn., Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan and Igatpuri stations.

09701/ 09702 Jaipur - Nasik Road - Jaipur Special

Train No. and Schedule: 09701 special train will leave Jaipur at 08.30 a.m. on 17.9.2015 & 24.9.2015 and will arrive Nasik Road at 10.20 a.m. next day.

Train No. and Schedule: 09702 special train will leave Nasik Road at 10.30 p.m. on 18.9.2015 & 25.9.2015 and will arrive Jaipur at 12.45 a.m. on third day.

HALTS: These trains will stop at Phulera Jn., Kishangarh, Ajmer Jn., Bijainagar, Bhilwara, Chittaurgarh, Nimach, Mandasor, Ratlam, Dahod, Vadodara Jn., Bharuch Jn., Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan and Igatpuri stations.

COMPOSITION: These trains will have following composition.
AC-3 tier: 1 compartments
Sleeper class: 5 compartments
General Second class: 8 compartments
General Second class cum Guard's Brake Van: 2 compartments

01239/ 01240 Nasik Road - Bhusaval - Nasik Road Daily Special

Train No. and Schedule: 01239 special train will leave Nasik Road at 8.25 p.m. daily from 22.7.2015 to 30.9.2015 and will arrive Bhusaval at 12.50 a.m. next day.

Train No. and Schedule: 01240 special train will leave Bhusaval at 2.10 p.m. daily from 22.7.2015 to 30.9.2015 and will arrive Nasik Road at 7.10 p.m. same day.

HALTS: These trains will stop at Odha, Niphad, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon, Chalisgaon, Pachora and Jalgaon stations.

01241/ 01242 Nasik Road - Bhusaval - Nasik Road Daily Special

Train No. and Schedule: 01241 special train will leave Nasik Road at 9.10 a.m. daily from 22.7.2015 to 30.9.2015 and will arrive Bhusaval at 1.10 p.m. same day.

Train No. and Schedule: 01242 special train will leave Bhusaval at 3.05 a.m. daily from 22.7.2015 to 30.9.2015 and will arrive Nasik Road at 8.10 a.m. same day.

HALTS: These trains will stop at Odha, Niphad, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon, Chalisgaon, Pachora and Jalgaon stations.

01249/ 01250 Nasik Road - Itarsi - Nasik Road Daily Special

Train No. and Schedule: 01249 special train will leave Nasik Road at 9.50 p.m. daily from 25.7.2015 to 30.9.2015 and will arrive Itarsi at 07.00 a.m. next day.

Train No. and Schedule: 01250 special train will leave Itarsi at 08.20 a.m. daily from 26.7.2015 to 1.10.2015 and will arrive Nasik Road at 7.10 p.m. same day.

HALTS: These trains will stop at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Burhanpur, Nepanagar, Khandwa, Khirkiya and Harda stations.

COMPOSITION: All the above special trains will have 18 General second class compartments.

Central Railway has announced to run weekly special trains between Pune and Kamakhya on the occasion of Kumbh Mela as per details given below:

Train No. and Schedule: 02511 weekly special train will leave Pune at 10.30 a.m. on every Thursday from 30.7.2015 to 1.10.2015 (10 trips) and arrive Kamakhya at 3.25 p.m. on Saturday.

Train No. and Schedule: 02512 weekly special train will leave Kamakhya at 10.05 p.m. on every Monday from 27.7.2015 to 28.9.2015 (10 trips) and will arrive Pune at 02.45 a.m. on Thursday.

HALTS: These trains will stop at Panvel, Nasik Road, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, Purulia, Joychandipahar Jn., Asansol, Andal, Rampurhat, Malda Town, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon and Golpara Town stations.

COMPOSITION:
AC-2 tier: 1 compartment
AC-3 tier: 2 compartments
Sleeper class: 9 compartments
Second class: 2 compartments

Booking Schedule: Booking for Train No. 02511 leaving from 30.7.2015 to 17.9.2015 will open on 19.7.2015 at all booking counters and through Internet. For subsequent trips, bookings will open 60 days in advance (excluding the day of journey). These trains will run as fully reserved Special Train on Special Charges.
