Kerala LTC Tour Package By IRCTC

Kochi - Munnar - Thekkady - Kumarakom - Allepy LTC Tour


IRCTC, the Indian giant in the field of travel, organises various tours and travels across India and abroad. Kochi - Munnar - Thekkady - Kumarakom - Allepy LTC tour of 7 days and 6 nights is one of them. The details of the tour are given below.

Charge: Basic rate stars at Rs. 15750/- per person.

The tour starts on DAY ONE with the arrival at Kochi Airport. IRCTC arranges the transfer of tourists from Airport to hotel in Kochi. Overnight stay and dinner is arranged at the hotel.

After breakfast on DAY TWO, the tourists are taken to the half day tour of Kochi (Cochin) and Ernakulam. Tourists are taken to Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue - (closed on Saturdays) St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. Unique and still in use "Chinese Fishing Nets" can be seen by the tourists near the Harbour's mouth.

Other places which the tourists can visit on their own are Wonderla Amusement Park, Kerala Kathakali Centre, Kashi Art Gallery, LuLu Mall, Folklore Museum, Vallarpadam Church, Museum of Art and Kerala History, Paradesi Synagogue, Celebrity Wax Museum, Marine Drive and Hill Palace of Tripunithura.

In the afternoon, tourists are takent to Munnar by surface. Arrangement of dinner and overnight stay will be made at the hotel in Munnar.

On DAY THREE after breakfast, the the tourists will be taken to local sightseeing of Munnar to the top tourist places like Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point.

Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, at 1600 Meter above sea level. In British period, this majestic hill station was used as the summer resort of the British government in South India.

In the afternoon, tourists are takent to Rajamalai by surface. Arrangement of dinner and overnight stay will be made at the hotel in Rajamalai. If lucky, you can spot "Nilgiri Thars", a rare species of mountain goat on the way to Rajamalai.

DAY FOUR starts with breakfast at the hotel. The tour then moves to Thekkady (Periyar) which is at a distance of 110 km, a drive of about four hours. After check in to the hotel, you will be taken to local sightseeing tour of Thekkady. It has one of the most famous wild life reserves of the world. The Periyar wild life sanctuary is full of scenic beauty and thick green forest. it was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Arrangement of dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Other places which the tourists can visit in and around Periyar on their own are Green Park Ayurvedic & Spice Plantation, Elephant Junction, Spice Walk, Periyar Lake, Periyar Tiger Reserve, Mullaperiyar Dam, Mangala Devi Temple and Deepa World Spice and Ayurvedic Garden.

On DAY FIVE after breakfast, the tour moves to Kumarakom which is at a distance of 130 km, a drive of about four hours. After check in to the hotel, you will be taken to local sightseeing tour of Kumarakom. tourists will be taken to Vembanadu Lake which is spread in about 900 sq. km. You can choose a canoe or motor boat to enjoy this backwater paradise. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kumarakom.

Other places which the tourists can visit in and around Kumarakom on their own are Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple, Kumarakom Beach, Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and Aruvikkuzhi Waterfall.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel on DAY SIX. After check out from the hotel, the tourists will be transferred to houseboat in Kumarakom for a 24 hours Kerala back water cruise which will take you to Alleppey. Tourists will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner at house boat itself and overnight stay will also be at the house boat.

Breakfast will be served at the house boat on DAY SEVEN, the last day of tour. After check out from the house boat, the tourists will be transferred to Kochi Airport to board the flight  for the return journey.
